Celebrating
Art through Education
Established
in 1992 to support and encourage art students in financial need,
The Laynor Foundation Museum has awarded many scholarships to art
students at Arizona State University and other select colleges and
universities.
Criteria
Laynor Foundation Museum Scholarships are awarded annually to college
or university sophomores, juniors and seniors majoring in art education
with the intent of teaching. Selection is based on artistic ability
and financial need. Recipients must have a minimum grade point average
of 3.0.
Candidates are
selected by a committee comprised of art education faculty members
and a representative of the financial aid office. Scholarships are
renewable, but each year the candidate must reapply.

The Laynor Foundation
Museum is the recipient of the 2001 Arizona Commission of the Arts
Award, Arizona ArtsPlace Award and the 1995 Arizona Humanities Council
Award for the Harold A. Laynor World War II paintings traveling
exhibit.
