Harold A. Laynor posthumously awarded the
Jubilee of Liberty Medal

Harold A. Laynor, veteran of World War II and a member of the 603rd Engineers, known as the Ghost Army, was awarded the Jubilee of Liberty Medal and a certificate from the French government. This medal is given to American Veterans by France to thank them for liberating their country from Nazi occupation and bringing and end to World War II.

The award ceremony took place on Veterans Day, November 11, 2002 at the Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix, AZ. Gloria Laynor, wife of Harold Laynor, accepted the award for her husband.
